Time & Stress Management : Stop Stressing…Start Living

Stress is a feeling we have when we are under pressure. Anything that poses a challenge or threat to our well-being is Stress.

Stress management involves changing the stressful situation, when you can. When we can’t change the situation, we must learn to change the way we handle the situation. No matter how powerless we may feel in the face of stress, we still have control over our lifestyle, thoughts and emotions.

How we handle stress, affects our relationships – personal, professional and our health.

One major cause of stress is mismanagement of Time. Don’t most of us feel that there is never enough time in a day? But since we all have the same 24 hours in a day, why is it that some people achieve more than others in the same time? Good Time Management is the answer. Good Time Managers are able to shift their focus from activities to results: Being busy isn’t the same as being effective.

The management at Squarefeet Group was concerned about the stress that their staff face in their life and the need for a work- life balance. We facilitated a session on Stop stressing and Start Living for their staff on 23rd December 2015 at the MCHI office, Thane. Jenish Shah, one of the Directors of the Squarefeet Group, was part of the enthusiastic participants. The participants were a mix of Sales, Accounts and Construction departments. The session became very lively as the participants discussed various experiences in both facing and handling stress.

Squarefeet team went home with a promise to themselves to manage Stress in a better way and utilize Time effectively.
